What started as a hobby evolved into a passion for Peter Clark, owner of Pete’s Pig Catering & Barbeque. Years of eating the best pulled pork, ribs, and smoked meats the south had to offer led Pete to start making his own. After experimenting with smoking techniques and perfecting the sauce and seasonings, Pete’s Pig was born in 2010 in Waterville, Maine as a roadside barbeque stand. The food was a hit and “The Pig” soon outgrew those humble beginnings of Pete’s Pig Catering & Barbeque.

As our reputation grew, catering requests necessitated a much larger space. It seemed that everyone that had tried our barbeque loved it and told their friends! We moved to a brick-and-mortar location in Belgrade Lakes, Maine until 2018 when the opportunity came to move to our 2000 sq. ft. facility with a full catering kitchen, dine-in service, and tasting space. This is where the magic happens!
Originally from Augusta, Maine, Pete is happy to provide all of Central Maine’s delicious culinary experiences unique to this area. He is thrilled to include local favorites like baked haddock, lobster rolls, brisket poutine, and wild blueberry buckle on the menu. Stop by and say hello, Pete would love to meet you.
